Viagem para sonhar

“Acorda garoto porque já chegamos.” O motorista não sabia que o garoto havia vindo para São Paulo justamente para sonhar.

O céu esfumaçado confirmava que ele já estava na cidade grande. O garoto pegou o metrô e tomou um ônibus exatamente como indicava as instruções. Ao desembarcar, uma fila que dobrava o quarteirão anunciava que ele já havia chegado à primeira sessão, da primeira Mostra de Cinema da sua vida.

Mal tinha se acomodado e uma senhora puxou conversa. O garoto estava tão maravilhado com tudo aquilo que mal deu atenção. Instruções em caso de incêndio, um filminho de introdução, um comercial com uma gordinha e o filme começou.

Na tela um gordo falastrão começa a mostrar alguns dramas de gente comum. Não é o Cidade Alerta, mas lembra. O filme, um documentário chamado S.O.S. Saúde, tenta mostrar como são vilões os planos de saúde nos Estados Unidos – para o narrador, a universalização do sistema de saúde é a melhor solução. E, para defender esta tese, o gordinho vai ao Canadá, a Paris, a Londres e até Cuba para mostrar como a coisa pode funcionar bem sem ninguém pagar nada. O garoto viu gente rir, ouviu gente chorar e gente se inconformar quando, na tela, uma senhora descobre que o medicamento que ela precisa e que custa 123 dólares nos Estados Unidos sai por 5 centavos de dólares em Cuba. Lá em Minas, os pais do garoto também reclamam dos medicamentos caros – “vou contar para eles que em Cuba é tudo uma maravilha”, pensou. Ele gostou do filme, mas ficou com um pé atrás com o diretor – “ele fala o que quer e quase não deixar ninguém se defender”, anotou em seu bloco de papel.

33 diretores, cada um com um filme de 3 minutos, esta é a proposta de “Cada um com o seu cinema”. São tantas histórias que o garoto não parava quieto na poltrona; achou um pouco cansativo. No catálogo ele havia lido que o filme é uma homenagem ao aniversário de Cannes, um importante festival de cinema. Têm histórias legais, outras muito chatas mesmo. A surpresa vem no final com os brasileiros Castanha e Caju improvisando. No final, o garoto aproveitou para ir ao banheiro e lavar o rosto, porque ainda havia muito por vir.

Tem gente que não gosta de filmes sobre guerra, e este garoto era assim. Ele achava tudo sempre muito triste e não conseguia entender os propósitos. Vale da Emboscada fala sobre o conflito em Kosovo entre albaneses e sérvios. Os albaneses estão afim de dar o troco depois de tudo que sofreram e a OTAN manda um grupo de soldados alemãs, em missão de paz, para garantir a segurança. No meio da história tem um garotinho que perdeu os pais e pensa em se vingar a qualquer preço. Um dos soldados põe sua carreira em risco para tentar ajudar o garoto e entender melhor o que se passa naquela vila. O filme é triste, mas acaba bem.

O garoto havia chegado ao cinema em plena luz do dia e saía à noite embaixo de uma grossa garoa. “Eu devia ter ouvido minha tia quando me disse que em São Paulo o tempo era louco” xingou-se o garoto. Sem guarda-chuva, ele pegou outro ônibus e foi para o segundo tempo da maratona.

Chegou atrasado ao cinema do shopping porque havia trânsito. “Como pode ter tanto trânsito assim”? – começou a querer voltar para Minas. Com fome porque não teve tempo de comer, entrou na sala e, surpresa: o filme também havia atrasado e ele não perdeu muita coisa, só o discurso do diretor. É um filme nacional chamado Lado B – Como fazer um longa sem grana no Brasil. Chato no começo, mas divertido do meio para o final. O filme fala das etapas de produção de um filme sem grana e aproveita o making of de outro filme do mesmo diretor, QuartaB, para ilustrar cada “dica”. O garoto gostou bastante porque ele podia se ver fazendo aquilo.

Último filme dia, e o garoto não parava de olhar no relógio – tem medo de perder o último ônibus na rodoviária. É um filme em francês que fala sobre o início da AIDS e o impacto no estilo de vida das pessoas daquela época, principalmente dos gays. O garoto não achou o filme ruim, mas provavelmente vai esquecê-lo depois de um tempo. O que mais gostou foi do frânces falado no filme – “ainda vou aprender a falar assim, prometeu”.

Antes mesmo dos créditos começarem, o garoto saiu correndo, atravessando os corredores de lojas caras daquele shopping – ele não está nem aí para compras. O dinheiro que havia economizado com comida gastou num táxi até o metrô. O último ônibus saia às 0h10 e ele chegou à rodoviária às 0h13. Ufa, ele havia conseguido.

Apesar do cansaço, nada de dormir. O garoto aproveitou a viagem para fazer alguns rascunhos do texto que seria sua redação para o dia seguinte. Começava assim: “Acorda garoto porque já chegamos”.
